San Francisco group photoshoot

It all started with an idea: a fun, relaxed photoshoot with a small group of friends enjoying a day in the city. This was something completely new for me—I had never done a group photoshoot before. To add to the excitement, I asked a friend who’s exploring videography to film a short behind-the-scenes of my day as a photographer. My vision was simple: part of the day capturing moments in the city, ending with a beautiful beach at sunset. San Francisco felt like the perfect choice, with its vibrant streets and stunning coastline.

I was aiming for a chill, slightly adventurous vibe with the nostalgia of summer’s end. After some planning, we decided to kick off the day by meeting at a coffee shop halfway to San Francisco, a cozy spot where we could fuel up and settle into the mood.

The day finally arrived, and I felt a mix of nerves and excitement. We gathered at Attalus Coffee in Vacaville, shared some pastries, and caught up before heading into the city. Our first destination was The Mill, a light-filled, airy coffee shop that had the perfect vibe to start the shoot. Although it was bustling, the energy added to the charm. After grabbing a few shots inside, we took things outside, capturing moments on the streets nearby.

From there, we made our way to the beach for the second part of the shoot. As the light began to fade, we worked quickly to capture the magic of the golden hour. The timing was tight, but I managed to get some incredible shots that really reflected the mood I wanted.

To wrap up the day, we headed to a cozy ramen spot, unwinding over warm bowls of noodles and reminiscing about the day’s adventures. It was the perfect ending to what turned out to be an amazing day.

Looking back, I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to try something new. Not only did I get to capture my friends’ personalities and energy, but we also created memories together that I’ll always cherish. This experience reminded me that photography isn’t just about the images—it’s about the stories and connections behind them.
