A Summer Love Story – Behind the Scenes of a Cinematic Couple's Shoot
I’d been dreaming of photographing a couple in a way that felt like a Pinterest board come to life—a love story full of soft nostalgia, romance, and timeless moments. When I shared my idea on Instagram, Izzy reached out. She and her boyfriend Row were looking for exactly that: a dreamy, cinematic photoshoot that felt like a scene from a romantic film.
It was their first shoot together, and they were a little nervous. Honestly, so was I. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to bring the vision in my head to life. But from the moment we started chatting, everything just clicked. Izzy came prepared with a few ideas of her own, and our creative visions aligned so naturally—it felt like we were building something special together.
I chose a quiet, charming neighborhood as the backdrop, with blooming roses spilling over white fences and a cozy little free library that we used for some sweet, storybook-inspired shots. We even spotted a swing and, after asking the kind homeowners, captured some of my favorite frames there—simple, heartfelt, and full of young love.
The photos turned out even better than I imagined. A true summer love story, soft and romantic, like something from the movies.
